The Communications Commission is aware of ongoing issues with Manx Telecom’s broadband network, since the evening of Monday 24th August. It is currently impacting up to 7,000 customers across the Island after an attempted fix overnight was unsuccessful. Customers of other internet service providers which use this network are also being affected.
The Commission is in regular communication with Manx Telecom, which has advised that engineers are working with their equipment suppliers (Nokia) to identify and resolve the cause of problem.
Both Manx Telecom and Sure are offering affected customers additional mobile data at no extra charge. For further details please speak to your service provider directly.
Further updates will be issued as and when available.
